Water in soil is in different forms
In different zones of soil, water occurs in different forms:
- Suspended water: water that is in the topsoil coming from rain, snow, or spraying.
- Capillary water: groundwater that rises to plant roots through fine pores.
- Groundwater: groundwater can be reached by digging a hole in the ground. The level of groundwater depends on the precipitation.
