Dairynex is pleased to announce its upcoming Cheese Making Masterclass, a specialized training program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to produce high-quality cheese products and explore new income-generating opportunities in the dairy sector.
The program will focus on the production of three popular cheese varieties: Mozzarella, Gouda, and Blue Cheese, providing participants with both the scientific understanding and practical techniques necessary for successful cheese making.
Recognizing the growing interest in value-added dairy products, Dairynex has developed two training options to accommodate participants with different learning preferences and geographical locations.
Hands-On Training Package
The Hands-On Training Package is priced at LKR 20,000 (USD 75) and combines online learning with practical experience.
Participants will first attend an online theory session on 14 July 2026 from 6.00 PM to 8.00 PM (Sri Lankan Time). The theory component covers the principles of cheese production, milk quality requirements, starter cultures, processing techniques, quality control, and product development.
The practical component will be conducted on 18 July 2026 at the training facility of the University of Peradeniya, where participants will gain direct experience in cheese making under expert guidance. The hands-on session will run from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM, providing ample opportunity for participants to observe and practice key processing steps.
Fully Online Training Package
For those unable to attend the practical session in person, Dairynex offers a Fully Online Training Package at LKR 10,000 (USD 50).
This package includes access to the live online theory session, training materials, facilitation, and a recording of the practical training session. Participants will therefore benefit from both the theoretical and practical aspects of cheese production regardless of their location.
Limited Enrollment for Personalized Learning
To ensure a high-quality learning experience and personalized guidance, enrollment is limited to 20 participants only. This small-group format allows participants to interact closely with facilitators, ask questions, and receive individualized support throughout the program.
